Fun at Wegerzyn Gardens

Such a pretty garden
This is a close as Katherine got to the water!
Looking at the fish
Sitting on the deck watching more fish
Climbing on the rocks

Today my friend and I took our kids to the Wegerzyn Discovery Gardens. Katherine had so much fun. It's a great outdoor area for children to play and have "hands on" fun with sand, gardening, and water. There is a really nice waterfall and stony river to splash in, but Katherine and very hesitant and didn't want to get wet. She had lots of fun walking around and looking at the water and the fish, though. It was a great morning.

Sew Much Fun

Last night a group a ladies from my church came over, and we spent the evening sewing tote bags. It was a blast! It was so much fun to see everyone's fabric combinations - they all looked great :-) We had a wonderful time of fellowship and did some serious sewing!

Family Fun at Young's Dairy Farm

Enjoying her Ice Cream Cone!
Fun at the Carnival
Merry Go Round Ride with Mommy
Merry Go Round Ride with Daddy
I want to ride again!
Our Memorial Day weekend has been wonderful. The weather was beautiful - sunny and warm. We took Katherine to Young's for some ice cream last night. She had so much fun! She loved her chocolate ice cream cone. There was a little carnival set up, and she rode the Merry Go Round. I thought she might be a little scared, but she LOVED it. She didn't want to leave!

Happy Birthday Wolfgang !

Pictures of Wolfgang's Birthday cake.

Yard Work

Wolfgang has been working hard putting new mulch all around the property. After 4 evenings, it is finally complete! Katherine was his big helper.

Shaun the Sheep

Katherine is very intent on watching her favorite tv show - Shaun the Sheep! It is the only thing she really watches. I have actually had to limit her to just one show in the morning, and then maybe another couple after her nap if I need a little "free" time to work on dinner. Each show is only 5 minutes long; our DVR records a new one every day.

Katherine's New Phrase

"Please - more babies" - No, she is not asking for a little brother or sister, but she is wanting to sit on my lap and watch as I scroll through the pictures of my friend's twins that she has posted on her blog. Katherine will sit there and look at the pictures and watch the videos of the babies for as long as I am willing to let her. It's super cute! She will wander into the study at several different times, point at the computer and say "please mommy, please - more babies"

It Stopped Raining!

After a day and a half of rain, we were finally able to get Katherine outside for a walk. She had a blast! A couple weeks ago, she wouldn't even ride in the stroller, but now she actually pulls it out of the garage. She still likes to help "push" it a little bit, though :-)

Cousins Having Fun

Alice, Thomas, and Katherine are having a blast playing "chase"!

Katherine

My Niece and Nephew, Alice & Thomas, are staying with us for the next few days. It will be a full house at the Krenzer's! The kids have been having a great time playing together. It's so much fun to see them interact and play. Katherine and Thomas love to chase each other, and Alice has been busy playing with all the stuffed animals. My goal is to get a picture of the three of them together!

Cute Dress

I made this dress as a gift for my friend's little girl. I was so happy with the results that I had to take a picture. It's a good thing it is too small for Katherine, or else I might be tempted to keep it!

Finally - a Picture of Katherine!

Katherine at the window

I figured that since this blog is supposed to be about Katherine, I had better get a picture of her posted. She loves to watch the birds in the feeder. Of course, she would much rather be outside herself, but since it is raining today, she will have to be content to just watch from the window.

New Dutch Oven

This is a picture of the first roast that I made in the new Dutch oven that my Mom and Dad gave me as a retirement gift. It worked great! The gravy turned out amazing. I know it sounds kind of funny to be so excited about something as simple as gravy, but making good gravy just wasn't working for me in the crockpot. Hooray for the Dutch oven! I meant to take a picture of the meal on the table, but in normal "Heidi" style, I forgot. This is a shot of the leftover dish Wolfgang will take to work tomorrow.

Fun in Amish Country

Such beautiful scenery
Wolfgang fed the sheep!
This was the barn of an Amish home we visited.

Wolfgang and I recently returned from a trip to Amish country in Holmes County, Ohio. We had a wonderful time and brought back lots of cheese and homemade bread and jams (yummy). My Mom and Dad stayed with Katherine at home while Wolfgang and I enjoyed spending time together. It was a great trip!
