Nursery Rearranged

Wolfgang suggested that I rearrange Katherine's nursery today! Here is the finished product. She really likes playing with her kitchen, and this way she can get to the front and the back - much more exciting!

Sneak Peak at Katherine's New Room

When Katherine moves into a "big girl" bed, this will become her new room. Obviously, we still need a mattress, window coverings, and some decorations, etc.! I've been having lots of fun picking everything out. Hopefully I will be able to take pictures of the finished product soon :-)

Hold It!

"Hold it" is Katherine's new phrase! Her favorite thing to do is to bring something to Wolfgang and I and ask us to "hold it". It's so cute! I hosted a baby shower at our house over the weekend and Katherine has been loving the left over balloons. She carries them all around, and, of course, wants Wolfgang and I to "hold it".

Patio Furniture - Finally !

After living here for 3 1/2 years, we finally bought some patio furniture! I'm so excited. Here's a picture of Katherine testing out the new chairs.

Visit with Friends

Wolfgang's good friend Jesse and his wife, Rebecca from Virginia visited us recently. (Jesse was the best man at our wedding.) I know Wolfgang enjoyed playing a couple games of chess and catching up with Jesse while Rebecca and I had lots of fun "girl talk".

We have got to get rid of the pacifier

Katherine can't get enough coloring these days. She wakes up and says "coloring"; she eats breakfast and then wants "coloring"; she plays with her baby and wants "coloring" and so on! It is by far her favorite pastime. I am very thankful for the Color Wonder markers that will only write on special paper!

Katherine is 2 Today !

Today is Katherine's 2nd Birthday. In celebration we had breakfast for dinner - her favorite - scrambled eggs, pancakes, and Bob Evan's sausage. She was so excited for her sausage that she hopped right up into her chair and started chanting "sausage" long before it was ready! We had a little bit of an issue with blowing out the candles. Same as last year - she reached for the candle and touched the flame - Oops. She wasn't too happy about that! A little drama on her 2nd birthday.
