More Time in the Pool

We have continued to have beautiful, warm, sunny days! It has been wonderful. Katherine enjoyed spending some more time in the pool this afternoon.

Bathing Beauty

Today was the first time this year that Katherine played in the pool. Last year at Hilton Head she loved the big pool, but this year it took her a while to warm up to the little one in our back yard! Isn't her hat adorable?

Bye Bye High Chair !

Katherine is officially out of her high chair! We packed away her upright one, and even the booster with the tray. She is now using just a plain booster seat and is very proud and excited to be eating from the table like Mommy and Daddy. It is so much fun to watch her grow and change. She is such a little sweetie! I love her so much.

My First Air Force T-Shirt

Wolfgang brought this T-shirt home for Katherine when he returned from his AF training in TX. Today is the first time she has worn it. What a cutie! I took all the pictures while Katherine and I were playing in the study. She was being very silly and playful - this is such a fun age.

How Quickly Time Passes

I bought this shirt for Katherine over two years ago - I was still pregnant at the time! It seems like just yesterday that I was picking out things for my baby to be. How amazing that she will be two in a matter of days.

My Big Girl

Katherine is fascinated with trying on our shoes. She also likes to talk on the phone. Yesterday Daddy forgot his cell phone at home, and Katherine got a hold of it. I managed to get this cute picture of her talking on his phone and wearing my shoes!

She fell asleep minutes after we started the drive home on Sunday!

We went to Michigan last weekend to visit Wolfgang's family. His niece, Erika, was baptized on Sunday, so we were able to be there for that. Katherine managed to stay up until 11pm two nights in a row. Of course, she did not sleep in any more than normal and was up and at 'em at 7am! On Saturday evening, we attended a German picnic, and Katherine had so much fun. The picnic area had a merry go round and some swings - can't get much better than that for a 2 year old :-) She also enjoyed dancing with Oma and Daddy - we even managed to get that on video. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Chickens, Rocks, and Kicking the Ball

Katherine picked out the fabric for this blue outfit. She was enamored with it at the fabric store and kept pointing and saying "chickens". I just had to make her something out of it! This isn't something I would typically pick, but I think it turned out really cute :-)

The next set of pictures (still in the "chicken" outfit) are Katherine playing with the rocks. When we take a walk, she stops at almost every driveway to pick up rocks and then give them to me or Wolfgang. I guess I just need to buy her a pile of rocks for her birthday!

Finally, this video is of Katherine kicking the ball. I wish you could see her face - she gets so intent on the ball and is very serious about getting a good kick. Wolfgang thinks we have a future soccer star!
