Haircut

Katherine finally got a much needed haircut. I got mine cut, and she thought that was pretty neat, so I suggested she get a haircut, too. She was all excited about that and actually sat still (most of the time).

Couch Potato

Katherine has become a real couch potato when Sesame Street is on! I thought I would record an episode for her after she was so afraid of Elmo on Halloween. Well, she now loves Sesame Street - I guess it could be worse :-)

New Hair Accessories

I bought Katherine some new hair clips the other day. They work great! Finally, something that holds her hair AND stays in place :-)

Trick or Treat

We had a trick or treat function at our church called "Trunk or Treat". It was a really great activity with lots of people handing out candy, a hayride, prizes, and large inflatables. Wolfgang was dressed up as Elmo and spent the evening walking around greeting the kids. I was going to dress Katherine as Elmo to match her Daddy, but she was TERRIFIED of Elmo! At first she was very excited about her costume, but then the minute she saw Wolfgang is his costume, it was over. No Elmo for her - she held on to me for dear life. We still had a really great time, and Katherine did walk around and get some candy :-)

We took Katherine to a pumpkin patch today. She had lots of fun picking out pumpkins and gourds and looking at the animals. It was a chilly, windy day, but we made it home before the rain started!

Katherine has recently been very serious about playing with and taking care of her baby. We got out the infant seat, and she likes to put the baby to sleep in there. Of course, she has also been trying the seat out herself at times :-) As you can see, she also enjoys "feeding" her baby dinner!

A Fabric Find

I took Katherine with me to JoAnn Fabrics today. This is not usually a good idea, but that's the way it worked out. I was looking at fabric and Katherine brought me a bolt. She was very excited about her find. It was pink cowgirl fabric! I figured that she had to have some of that - she can wear it in Wyoming when we take her to see Gma and Gpa! She couldn't wait to show Wolfgang. He was mowing the lawn, so she didn't have much luck getting his attention, but she was trying!

A Little Bit of This and That

Katherine wanted me to use my flat iron on her hair this morning. These are the results - not really much different in my opinion, but Kat was very happy with her hairdo!

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit last week. We all had a great time together. Katherine loves her Gma and Gpa, and she had so much fun with them! Boy did she get spoiled - lots of swinging, horsey rides, and jumping - and that was just while we were home. We also took her to a local farm, went outlet shopping (Gpa carried Katherine pretty much the entire time, so she thought that was great), and did some eating out!

USAF Marathon

Go Wolfgang - Great Job!

Katherine was upset that she couldn't cross the finish line with Daddy!

Wolfgang ran a 1/2 marathon in the USAF Marathon today. He finished in 2 hours 2 minutes - a 7 minute improvement over last year! Way to go! Katherine and I were able to see him as he finished. Katherine got so excited when she saw him that she ran out onto the track! I had to ran after her - she was chasing Wolfgang to the finish line! She wasn't very happy that I snatched her out of the race - thus the crying face in the picture :-)

Cookie

I finally found a cookie that Katherine likes - and the winner is . . . Oatmeal Raisin! She won't eat my chocolate chip cookies, and last week I made some orange cookies - she wouldn't even take a bite of those. So, yesterday I tried oatmeal raisin, and she is a huge fan. She has been asking for them nonstop! As you can see, she is very happy with her cookie - she's doing a little dance :-)
